The Challenge
Flocal Co. needed a website that could support both sides of their business without compromising the brand experience. As a wedding and event florist with a brick-and-mortar shop, their site had to serve multiple audiences at once, from couples planning intimate celebrations to customers ordering everyday arrangements.
The challenge was creating clarity without losing romance. The website needed to feel curated and design-forward while still functioning as a seamless shopping experience. Visitors had to immediately understand how to shop, how to inquire for weddings and events, and what sets Flocal Co apart, all without feeling overwhelmed or rushed.
At the same time, the site needed to reflect the in-store experience. Warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully styled, but still polished and professional. The goal was to translate that balance online, creating a space that builds trust, highlights the artistry behind the florals, and guides visitors naturally toward action.

The Approach
We designed a custom Shopify website that balances visual storytelling with functionality, allowing Flocal Co’s florals to take center stage while supporting both retail and wedding clients.
The structure was intentionally built to guide visitors based on how they interact with the brand. Clear pathways distinguish everyday floral orders from wedding and event inquiries, making it easy for customers to find what they need without disrupting the overall flow of the site.
Design-wise, the site leans editorial and romantic, with soft color palettes, layered imagery, and refined typography that mirror the in-store experience. Generous white space and thoughtful layout choices create a sense of calm while keeping the focus on the artistry behind each arrangement.
On the backend, Shopify provides a flexible foundation for managing products, seasonal offerings, and content updates. The result is a website that feels elevated and inviting, supports day-to-day sales, and scales seamlessly as Flocal Co continues to grow.

I built my own website in 2022 and it was just for my little at home wedding floral business. Fast forward to 2026, we are now a retail floral shop with a full wedding business as well as the need for a functioning e-commerce presence. We made the choice to jump to Shopify to better manage our business and Jordin jumped right into help!
