The Scope: Custom Showit Web Design Landing Page
The Vibes: Bright, Inspiring
The Industry: PR Agency
Sass in the Bluegrass is a Lexington, Kentucky-based PR and social media agency helping small businesses build visibility through strategic, approachable marketing and public relations. When Miranda came to me, she had a strong brand personality and a clear idea of the kind of experience she wanted to create, but she needed a website that could bring all of that together in a much more polished and intentional way.
This project is a little different from many of my full website projects because rather than designing an entire multi-page site, I created a fully custom landing page for Sass in the Bluegrass. The page needed to do a lot of work within a single scrolling experience, clearly communicating the agency’s services, personality, process, and value while still giving potential clients an easy path toward getting in touch.
For this PR agency website design, the goal was to create something that felt polished and professional without losing the personality that makes Sass in the Bluegrass approachable in the first place. Bright details, movement, strategic messaging, and a clear structure all work together to create a page that feels fun and energetic while still positioning the agency as a serious PR and social media partner.

Making One Page Do a Lot of Work
One of the biggest considerations with this project was making sure a single landing page didn’t feel like it was trying to cram an entire website into one long scroll. Sass in the Bluegrass needed to communicate quite a bit, including what the agency does, who Miranda works with, the services she offers, what makes her approach different, and what someone can expect when they decide to work together.
That meant the structure needed to be especially intentional. Instead of relying on multiple pages to separate all of that information, I created a clear visual and content hierarchy that allows visitors to move through the page naturally, learning more about the agency as they go without feeling like they’re being hit with every detail at once.
Sass already had a strong personality, and I wanted the design to actually let that personality show up rather than defaulting to the polished-but-generic look that is so common for professional service businesses. The page uses bright visual details, movement, playful elements, and an energetic layout, while the typography, spacing, and overall structure keep everything feeling polished and easy to follow.
The result is a landing page that feels much more like an extension of the Sass in the Bluegrass brand than a traditional “professional services” website. It is fun without being distracting, polished without being corporate, and strategic without losing the warmth that is such a big part of Miranda’s approach.

Creating a Custom Landing Page That Can Grow
Even though this project was a single landing page, I still approached it with the same level of strategy and customization that I bring to a larger website project. The goal wasn’t simply to make one attractive page, but to create a digital home base that could clearly communicate the business and give potential clients a reason to keep moving toward that first conversation.
The page was built in Showit, giving Miranda the flexibility to update her content and make changes as Sass in the Bluegrass grows. I also built the structure with foundational SEO in mind, so the page has a solid starting point for visibility rather than functioning only as a visual brochure.
This type of landing page can be especially useful for a service-based business that doesn’t need a large multi-page website but still wants something completely custom and strategic. Rather than forcing the business into a template or creating several pages simply because that’s what a traditional website is “supposed” to have, the design can be built around what the business actually needs to communicate.
For Sass in the Bluegrass, that meant creating one cohesive experience that introduces the agency, explains the services, communicates Miranda’s personality, and guides potential clients toward taking the next step, all without making the experience feel overwhelming.

Words from Miranda
“I’ve spent years trying to design and re-design my site! It’s been so stressful to get all the features I wanted. I liked my old one, but never really loved it. Jordin went above and beyond and gave me my dream site! It’s fun and professional and full of movement. She was so patient with me and answered all questions. She offered great guidance and we made a great team. Several people have complimented my new site and im excited for it to generate more compelling leads! Overall, I am thrilled with the results and will continue to recommend her. If I ever need a client site made or I want to change mine, she’s the one I’m going to for sure. Thank you so much Jordin!”

A Custom Landing Page Built Around Your Business
You don’t always need a huge website to create a strong first impression. Sometimes, a thoughtfully structured landing page is exactly what your business needs to communicate what you do, show off your personality, build trust, and make it easy for the right people to get in touch.
If you’re looking for a custom landing page that feels like your business rather than a template with your logo dropped in, let’s talk about your project.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a custom landing page?
A custom landing page is a standalone page designed specifically around a business, offer, or goal rather than using a pre-designed template or building out a traditional multi-page website. It can be a great option when you need a polished, strategic online presence but don’t necessarily need a large website with several individual pages.
Can a landing page be fully custom designed?
Absolutely. A landing page doesn’t have to mean a basic or template-based design. Sass in the Bluegrass’s page was fully custom designed in Showit, with the structure, visuals, content flow, and calls to action all created specifically around the agency and its goals.
When does a landing page make sense instead of a full website?
A landing page can work well for a business that has a focused offering, doesn’t need a large amount of separate content, or wants to create a strong online presence without investing in a full multi-page website. The important part is making sure the page has enough strategic content to answer the questions potential clients have and guide them toward the next step.
Can you design a landing page for my service-based business?
Yes. I can create a fully custom landing page for service-based businesses that need a focused, polished online presence, whether you’re launching a new business, promoting a specific service, or simply don’t need a traditional multi-page website.
