Therapist and Yoga Website Design | Embodied Healing Counseling & Yoga
The Scope: Custom Showit Web Design & VIP Day(s)
The Vibes: Warm. Grounded. Reflective.
The Industry: Therapy + Mind-Body Healing

When Kristen set out to build Embodied Healing Counseling & Yoga, she had a clear intention: to create a safe, integrative space where people could come home to themselves.
Her approach brings together talk therapy, private yoga, and community-centered support, helping high-achieving and sensitive women navigate anxiety, perfectionism, identity shifts, motherhood, and other seasons of change. Her work is nuanced, deeply human, and rooted in authenticity, nervous system awareness, and the wisdom of the body.
She needed a website that could communicate all of that before a potential client ever stepped into her office.
The Challenge
Kristen came to me without an existing website. Most of her work was being shared through word-of-mouth and social media, and she was ready to grow her practice with a digital home of her own.
The challenge was that a traditional therapy website wasn’t going to feel like her.
Kristen’s work is warm, relatable, and holistic. She wanted potential clients to understand that therapy with her could be both grounded and restorative, without the clinical coldness or overly formal language that can sometimes make therapy websites feel disconnected from the actual experience of working with a therapist.
She needed a therapist and yoga website design that could hold all of the different pieces of her practice: counseling, yoga, embodied healing, and her philosophy around authenticity and growth.
Most importantly, she wanted visitors to feel supported before they ever booked a session.
The goal wasn’t simply to explain what she offers. It was to create an online experience that felt like Kristen herself: calm, connected, welcoming, and deeply validating.
Her previous site didn’t capture the clarity, calm, or professionalism she brings to every session and speaking engagement. It lacked cohesion, didn’t speak directly to high-achieving clients, and offered little reassurance to media professionals seeking a trusted expert. The goal was to create a thoughtful, intentional website that balanced authority with approachability and invited visitors into a space that felt grounding, supportive, and immediately trustworthy.
Before & After

Our Approach
We started by digging into Kristen’s values, vision, and the experience she wanted to create for her clients.
From the beginning, it was clear that this wasn’t going to be a traditional clinical website. The design needed to communicate professionalism and expertise while still feeling personal and approachable.
For the visual direction, I leaned into earthy tones, soft contrast, open space, and modern typography to reflect the grounded quality of Kristen’s work. Clean lines create structure and clarity, while subtle movement and texture keep the experience from feeling too rigid or clinical.
The website structure was just as intentional as the visual design.
The homepage gives visitors a welcoming overview of Kristen’s approach and introduces the relationship between therapy, yoga, and embodied healing. From there, dedicated service pages give each offering enough space to be understood without overwhelming visitors with information.
The result is a therapy website design that feels spacious and thoughtful while giving potential clients clear pathways to learn more, connect with Kristen, and decide whether her approach feels right for them.
Bringing Therapy and Yoga Together Online
One of the most important parts of this project was making sure Kristen’s two primary offerings felt connected rather than competing for attention.
Therapy and yoga are distinct services, but they are both rooted in the same larger philosophy of embodied healing. The website needed to communicate that relationship clearly so visitors could understand how each offering fit into Kristen’s practice.
Rather than treating yoga as an add-on to her therapy services, we gave both offerings room to breathe while creating a consistent visual and messaging system throughout the site.
This helped the website communicate the bigger picture of Kristen’s work: supporting people not only through conversation and reflection, but also through connection with the body.
Designing for the Client Experience
For a therapist, the website often creates a potential client’s first impression long before they ever send an inquiry.
That made the feeling of the site especially important.
Rather than relying on generic wellness imagery or overly polished language, the design creates room for Kristen’s personality and perspective to come through. The copy, layout, imagery, typography, and color palette all work together to make the site feel approachable without losing professionalism.
Every section has a job.
Visitors can quickly understand who Kristen works with, what she offers, and what makes her approach different. At the same time, the open layouts and softer visual treatment give the site the breathing room that reflects the slower, more intentional experience Kristen creates within her practice.
This balance between clarity and warmth was at the center of the therapist and yoga website design.

The Finished Website
The finished site gave Embodied Healing Counseling & Yoga a digital presence that felt much more representative of the practice Kristen was building.
Instead of simply listing therapy services, the website communicates an experience. It gives prospective clients a sense of Kristen’s approach, creates space for her holistic offerings, and helps visitors understand what working with her might actually feel like.
It’s warm without being overly precious, professional without feeling clinical, and strategic without losing the personal qualities that make Kristen’s work so distinctive.
That combination was the goal from the beginning.
More Than a Website: An Ongoing Design Partnership
This project was just the beginning of my work with Kristen.
Since launching the original website, we’ve worked together more than four times on everything from VIP Design Days and social media templates to expanding and refining her website as her practice has grown.
As Embodied Healing evolved, the website needed to evolve with it. We’ve continued adding and improving pages with both her clients and search visibility in mind, creating more opportunities for potential clients to find her through search and better communicating the different ways she works.
I’ve also created custom social media templates to give Kristen a consistent visual presence beyond her website, making it easier for her to carry the same thoughtful brand experience across her marketing.
This kind of ongoing work is one of my favorite parts of being a designer. A website doesn’t have to be something you launch once and never touch again. As your business grows, your website should be able to grow with it.
For Kristen, that has meant continuing to refine the site, expand its content, strengthen its SEO, and make sure it continues to support the practice she’s building.

What Kristen Had to Say
“Working with Jordin was an absolute joy! She made the entire process fun, simple, and streamlined, and the quality of her work is truly outstanding. She was incredibly communicative, receptive, and collaborative, ensuring my website was exactly what I envisioned. I also appreciated her thoughtful suggestions along the way.
One of the standout aspects of working with Jordin was her SEO expertise—something I’ve found lacking with other web designers. She not only implemented the majority of it but also guided me through the process, saving me from having to become an armchair SEO expert (which I definitely don’t have time for!).
Beyond her professionalism, Jordin is simply a wonderful person, and I feel so lucky to have worked with her. I would 10/10 recommend her to anyone looking for a beautiful, calming online space to showcase their services.“

Therapist & Yoga Website Design FAQ
What does a therapist and yoga website need to accomplish?
A therapist and yoga website needs to make it easy for visitors to understand both offerings while also communicating the larger philosophy connecting them. Clear navigation, thoughtful content, and an intentional visual direction can help potential clients understand what makes the practice different.
How do you design a website for therapy and yoga services?
The key is finding the connection between the two services and making that relationship clear throughout the website. For Embodied Healing Counseling & Yoga, therapy and private yoga were presented as distinct offerings while remaining connected through Kristen’s larger focus on embodied healing.
What makes good therapist website design?
Good therapist website design should feel welcoming, professional, and easy to navigate. Potential clients should be able to quickly understand who you work with, what you offer, what your approach is, and how to get started. The visual design should support that sense of trust rather than distract from it.
Can a therapist website include holistic services?
Absolutely. A website can be structured around multiple services while still creating a cohesive experience. The key is making the relationship between those services clear and giving visitors an easy way to find the information most relevant to them.
